La Guarida paladar
Paladar got famous because of the movie “Fresa y Chocolate" directed by Cuba best-known director, Tomas Gutierrez Alea and the only cuban movie receiving an Oscar nomination was shot here. It is also the only restaurant in Cuba listed in “Where chefs eat” 2013.
That is likely the reason why the owners decided to overprice it all. Excellent food, regular wines (not listed on the menu but a average wine will cost you 5.00CUC a glass) and New York prices.
Address: Concordia 418, between Gervasio and Escobar. Havana Center

La Divina Pastora restaurant
La Divina Pastora has an exceptional setting, just behind a battery of huge guns, near the sea and overlooking Old Havana. However you will be paying for this setting, and more still if you sit inside. The food is not bad for Cuban standards. Service varies, one day very professional the next not so. A bit pricey, but still worth a visit.
Address: Parque Histórico Morro y Cabaña, Carretera de La Cabaña. Casablanca

El Floridita Bar Restaurant
Rum is consumed lavishly in Cuba; piña colada, mojito, daiquiri... Nowhere is this last mentioned drink as good as in El Floridita, where Hemingway was a regular customer. Hence, the statue of Hemingway at the corner of the bar, his favorite spot.
El Floridita claims to be the cradle of the daiquiri, and indeed, the daiquiris served in La Floridita are spectacular. But is was Hemingway with his famous quote “My mojito in La Bodeguita, my daiquiri in El Floridita.” Who made the daiquiri popular in the 1930s".
The bar has a marvellous deco interior and usually a life band playing Cuban music.
Address: just off Parque Central, corner Monserrate and Obispo

Bodeguita del Medio Bar-Restaurant
If it weren´t for Ernest Hemingway La Bodeguita might not be so renowned. But is it because of Hemingway´s famous words “My mojito in La Bodeguita, my daiquiri in El Floridita.” that La Bodeguita is a must-visit stop for any tourist in La Habana

Paladar Doña Eutimia
Doña Eutemia is a small paladar (private restaurant), maybe not the most glamorous restaurant, but if you want to taste the authentic Cuban cuisine, this is where you want to go.
Excellent food, abundant portions and prices are economic. Absolute favorites are Ropa Vieja and Frozen Mojitos. Better take a reservation because the place is usually fully booked.
