Perla Blanca beach
Villa Clara has a wealth of beaches on the Cayerías del Norte - hundreds of small keys along the province’s Atlantic coast. The largest are Cayo Las Brujas, Cayo Ensenachos and Cayo Santa María. The islets are linked to the mainland by causeway.
However, most of the beaches are restricted areas, either because they are part of the Buenavista Biosphere reserve or they are property of the hotel restorts exploited there. However, some beaches can be accessed freely, such as this sunny (and shadeless!) beach situated on the tip of Cayo Santa María.

Church our Lady of Carmen
This church located north of Parque Vidal is the city´s oldest church. It was erected in 1748 with its tower added in 1846. The sizeable modern monument out front commemorates Santa Clara’s creation in the year 1689 by 13 families from Remedios looking for a site inland that would be less vulnerable to pirate attack.
