Colonial Art museum
The Colonial Art Museum is located in an early 1744 colonial house also known as the House with the 100 Doors. This small museum displays 19th-century furniture and decorations and many other items such as a 19th and 20th centuries collection of dresses in an impressive 17th-century building that once belonged to the wealthy Iznaga family, owners of what once was one of the most well-known sugar estates.

Natural Park El Cubano
The Natural Park El Cubano is a good place to go for a hike. You can either have a taxi drop you off at the entrance or you can hike to El Cubano from Trinidad (around 16km). Once in the protected park you can take the 3.6km ecological path, the Huellas de la Historia over suspension bridges to the Javira Waterfall.

Ancón Beach
Playa Ancón, a precious ribbon of white beach on Sancti Spíritus’ iridescent Caribbean shoreline, is said to be the finest patch of sand on Cuba’s south coast.
You can easily spend a whole day here; sun-bathing, swimming, snorkeling, diving, sailing or cycling .

Chapel of Popa or Notre Dame of Candelaria
From the Loma (hill) de la Popa, where this chapel is situated, you get a good view of Trinidad city, the sea and the Guaurabo River. At that same site there are several temples, part of the oldest architectural monuments such as the ermitas (country chapels) of La Candelaria and Saint Anne, the Church of Saint Francis of Paula, and the tower of the former Saint Francis of Assisi Convent.

Parish Mayor Church of Holy Spirit
This church was originally constructed of wood in 1522 and rebuilt in stone in 1680. It's said to be the oldest church in Cuba still standing on its original. A solid restoration, however, would be in order.
