Rigoberto Mena was born in  Havana, where he currently lives and works. Rigoberto is considered an important painter of his generation. In 2011 Rigoberto was selected to be part of the permanent collection of the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes de Cuba. He also has a private art gallery at the Plaza de Armas.

The Bocoy factory, established in 1878, produces Bocoy rum and Legendary brand. The word Bocoy is a Cuban unit used in the century XVIIII, mainly for honey. Address: Calzada de Cerro 1417, esquina Avenida Maximo Gomez

This 60-ha garden are in the best traditions of botanical study. Supported by the Universidad de  Havana and with links to worldwide gardens and much scientific research they have some very interesting collections. Taking the visit you will be driven around the gardens and along the greenhouses. There is an organic vegetarian restaurant using solar energy for cooking.

The Central Park is a pleasant small park in Old Havana. The space acquired its current size after the demolition of the city walls in the 19th century. In the center of the square is a marble statue of Jose Marti placed in 1905.
On the west side there is the Hotel Telegrafo, the oldest hotel in Cuba, which opened its doors in 1860, a few years after the first telegraph station in the country, which inspired the name of the hotel. It moved to its current location in 1888. Next to it is the colonial Hotel Inglaterra, which opened in 1875, and El Gran Teatro de la Habana (The big Theatre of Havana).
 

John Lennon Park is nothing special, still worth a visit, as it is a lovely place to unwind. The Cuban government has hired to custodians to guard the glasses of John Lennon which kept disappearing. So, nowadays, paying 1.00CUC, you can take your picture of John Lennon´s bronze statue with glasses.
Every 8th of December, John Lennon´s death anniversary, a concert is held.
